This harrowing image of a child taken too soon is one of six to have been killed by Israeli occupation forces this year alone.

Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program director at Defence For Children International Palestine, said
“Israeli forces routinely violate international law by using lethal force against Palestinian children without justification. Like nearly every other case involving Israeli forces’ unlawful killing of Palestinian children, systemic impunity as the norm ensures that the perpetrator responsible will never be held accountable by Israeli authorities.”

DCIP complied with evidence and submitted it to the UN detailing Israeli military use of lethal force against children last year.

The report outlined that in the overwhelming majority of cases, children did not present any imminent, mortal threat or threat of serious injury when killed by Israeli forces.
