Israel is proceeding with the unlawful expansion of settlements in the heart of three of the most significant Palestinian urban centres:

- East Jerusalem
- Ramallah
- Bethlehem

East Jerusalem’s historic neighbourhoods are being systematically emptied of Palestinians.

The international community must act now to end these flagrant violations of international law, and realise Palestinians’ human rights.

Christmas is a time of hope and unity.

At this special time of year, we recognise the love and support that the people of Ireland have shown us.

This Christmas, may all across the world keep peace in their hearts.

Christmas and Bethlehem in the West Bank, Palestine.

This Christmas, despite being surrounded by illegal and violent Israeli colonial settlers, despite having our freedom of movements taken away through a record number of Israeli gates and barriers (>1000), and even as we watch our people suffer at the hands of Israeli occupation across Palestine especially in Gaza, the Palestinian people remain steadfast and with hope never to give up their right to freedom and self determination.

Bethlehem is a city of hope and unity. The Palestinian people will always have hope. May this Christmas bring peace to the hearts of everyone around the globe.
