"Jerusalem is not for sale." - President Abbas at UNGA
On September 27th, President Abbas gave his address at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York. In his speech, the President announced there was no longer any reason for Palestinians to remain faithful to the Oslo Accords or mutual agreements with Israel while Israel refuses to uphold its responsibilities. President Abbas also called on the international community to reject the recently adopted racist Jewish "Nation-State" law and deem it null and void.
While speaking of the American Administration's on-going assault on the Palestinian national cause, international law and UN resolutions, President Abbas said the US can no longer be a sole mediator for any peace process. He also called for the convening of an international peace conference with relevant stakeholders, called on the Assembly to ensure support for UNWRA and thanked all countries and people who continue to extend assistance to the Palestinian people.

Ireland's longstanding generosity to the Palestinian people was exemplified through an additional pledge of €1 million in funding to UNWRA , the UN agency mandated to assist 5.4 million Palestine refugees living under occupation or in exile. Dáil: Demolition of EU funded structures
Several Deputies question Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney, on the demolition of EU-funded structures by Israel. Minister Coveney said, "Three requests for compensation have been made. Israeli authorities have replied that these structures had no planning permission. This ignores the fact that the Israeli authorities systematically refuse to grant such permission to local communities."
